Happy National Poetry Day 2022. This Autumn, am commissioned by the RSPB to help children create a trail of poems inspired by the ‘magic of nature’, for this coming October half term, plus a collaborative poem written with the children as part of a public art piece by Sarah Munro, being installed at the beautiful RSPB Strumpshaw Fen. It’s one of my favorite nature reserves in Norfolk, so this is a real pleasure.
Beautiful seeing a marsh harrier close to the hide on a planning meeting – back from being on the brink in the 1970s (there were just two left in the UK!) thanks to campaigning, restoration and tightened legal protections.
A reminder that we can help make a difference.
Please support the RSPB in their campaign (also supported by the National Trust, The Wildlife Trusts and others), to stop plans to ‘reform’ planning to make it easier for precious habitats to be built on by developers.
