Extraordinary Communities CIC aims to increase access to art and literature in the community through socially engaged projects and programmes, established with help from Arts Council England.
Current projects include creating a writing toolkit and outreach programme inspiring connection to the natural world, to go with Ruthie Collins’ collection of poetry and new public poem commissioned by Norfolk County Council, Dreaming of Albion. An outreach programme helping families and the elderly engage with literature is being developed, with special attention to the isolated and those impacted by COVID19.
Dreaming of Albion will be installed in public space in Great Yarmouth in Spring 2021.
Extraordinary Lives’ aims are to:
Increase access to art and literature through social inclusion, education and outreach.
Improve literacy through creative writing projects and programmes
